HARLEY-DAVIDSON MOTOR COMPANY SERVES AS PRESENTING SPONSOR FOR THE 11TH ANNUAL YMCA MARTIN LUTHER KING JR. BREAKFAST
Milwaukee (January 16, 2008) – Harley-Davidson Motor Company will serve as the premiere sponsor for the 11th Annual YMCA of Metropolitan Milwaukee’s Martin Luther King Jr. Breakfast. The breakfast will take place at the Midwest Airlines Center on Monday, Jan. 21, 2008, the national holiday commemorating the slain civil rights leader.
In addition to corporate support, Harley-Davidson executives, employees and representatives of the company’s two unions representing Milwaukee employees, United Steelworkers (USW) Local 2-209 and International Association of Machinists (IAM) Lodge 78, will join other Milwaukee corporate and civic leaders at the annual event.
“We are proud to once again join the YMCA of Metropolitan Milwaukee in supporting the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King,” said Gail Lione, President of the Harley-Davidson Foundation. “This breakfast embraces Dr. King’s vision of unity and celebrates Milwaukee’s rich cultural diversity.”
At this year’s breakfast, the YMCA will honor three individuals/organizations that are making a difference in the Milwaukee community with special award recognition. The individuals and organizations are:
Strong Kids – Charles Brown, Youth Center Director, Journey House, Inc.
Strong Families – Wraparound Milwaukee
Strong Communities – Clayborn Benson, Founder & Director, Wisconsin Black Historical Society Museum

The Harley-Davidson Foundation was established to support the communities in which the company has facilities and employees.
